Deutz-Fahr launches 287hp 8280 TTV
10/09/2020
Plugging the gap between the current 7 and 9 Series models, the continuously variable transmission in the 8280 TTV combines a stepped planetary gearbox, clutch unit and two hydrostatic units. The top speed is 60km/hr (engine speed 1830rpm at 60km/hr and 1220rpm at 40km/hr).
The standard spec includes dry front disc brakes, two-speed (1000/1000Eco) front PTO, three-speed (540Eco/1000/1000Eco) rear PTO, 210lit/min hydraulic system and a rear lift capacity of up to 11.1t.
The intelligent front axle suspension system provides three settings (auto, normal and soft), and the tractor comes with air sprung cab suspension and automatic air conditioning.
The company says separating the cab from the newly-designed engine cowl reduces heat, vibration and noise levels, and the 8280 comes with 50,000 lumen LED work lights.
Service intervals are 1,000 hours for the engine oil and 1,500 hours for the hydraulic oil. Made at Lauingen, in Germany, the 8280 TTV is developed for tyre sizes with a diameter up to 2.05m (710/70R42).
